Sports Editor Nathan Wall Awarded

In 2024 VTN welcomed its first Work Experience Student Nathan Wall. Nathan completed a busy schedule learning first hand about the compilation, recording and distribution of VTN recordings to its Listeners'. He was also able to learn about some of the challenges faced day to day by those living with a visual impairment when he accompanied Fran Webb to a Sight Concern meeting.

After completing his Work Experience Nathan remained as a Volunteer Sports Reporter submitting a report every two weeks and intends continuing in this role until August 2025 when he will embark on his gap year in Asia.

In recognition of his contribution Fran Webb was invited to present an Award from VTN at the 6th form Awards Ceremony at Prince Henry's High School on Friday March 28th.

When presented with a certificate and framed copy of his first Sports Report Nathan had this to say, "What an unexpected lovely surprise and much appreciated."
