VTN Gets First Work Experience Student

A first for VTN when Chairman Fran Webb was delighted to welcome Prince Henry's student Nathan Wall to 3 days of work experience.
Nathan, hoping to pursue a career in Sports Journalism welcomed the opportunity to gain some first hand experience in gathering news and recording articles.
A busy 3 days included attending seated cricket at a local Care Home, meeting some members of a Sight Concern group and learning about some of the issues they have to deal with in simple everyday tasks, and, he was delighted to be invited by Evesham United Chairman Ged Bearcroft to attend a local game where he was able to observe online reporting of the game.
In the studio Mick Hurst, Chairman of Battle of Evesham provided Nathan the opportunity to practice his interviewing skills. A busy, productive 3 days culminating with Nathan writing and recording various pieces which were aired on a VTN recording.
Nathan enjoyed the opportunity afforded by his experience and VTN have been very pleased to welcome him as a Volunteer who provides a fortnightly Sports Report for each recording.
